4.7.19 Folding gooseneck. To determine conformance to 3.4.7, and 3.5.7, the gooseneck shall be checked for proper construction and function as specified. The gooseneck on each trailer shall be raised and lowered, coupling and uncoupling the trailer to and from the prime mover.

The gooseneck shall be checked to be free of binding during this operation and to fold flat to the ground when lowered.

4.7.20 Intervehicular connections. To determine conformance to 3.4.14.2 and 3.4.16.3, intervehicular connections shall be checked for specified requirements.

4.7.21 Electrical system check. To determine conformance to 3.4.16 through 3.4.16.3, the electrical system and all components shall be checked for proper assembly, installation, function and conformance to specified requirements. Spectrum testing is not required for this check..

4.7.21.1 Electrical system test. The electrical system shall be tested to determine conformance to the requirements specified by 3.4.16 through 3.4.16.3.

4.7.22 Lubrication. To determine conformance to 3.11.1, and 3.12, the vehicle shall he checked for proper lubrication as required. Lubrication fittings and lubrication data plates shall be checked for proper installation, function, and conformance to specified requirements.

4.7.23 Rustproofing. Rustproofing shall be checked for proper application as specified in 3.8.

4.7.24 Wood treatments. Wood shall be checked for proper treatment as specified in 3.4.8.

4.7.25 Welding. To determine conformance to 3.9, all welds shall be checked for conformance to specified requirements.

4.7.26 Painting and marking check. To determine conformance to 3.7. 3.7,1, and 3,10 through 3,10.4, all applicable surfaces shall be checked for cleaning, treatment, priming and painting as specified. Identification markings shall be checked for specified requirements. Top coat polyurethane paint will be inspected in accordance with paragraphs 4.7.26.1.

4.7.26.1 Polyurethane paint inspection method. To determine conformance to 4.7.26, the painting test specified by the contract, section C.X, shall be performed.

4.7.27 Marking check. All markings shall be check to determine conformance to the requirements specified by 3.10 through 3.10.4.

4.7.28 Data plates check. All data plates shall be checked for installation complete data to determine conformance to the requirement specified by 3.11.
