4.3.3 IPT (first article). To determine conformance to section 3 of this specification in its entirety and contractual requirements, the Government shall select initial production trailers to be tested. The trailers shall be representative of production trailers. The trailers will be tested for
6,000 mi to include endurance, performance, reliability, maintainability, design, welding, materials, and workmanship, as specified in table V. All the tests shall be performed by the Government at a Government selected test site, utilizing all tables specified herein. The contractor shall have repair parts prepositioned at the test sites to expeditiously provide for adequate support of the tests at
no cost to the Government.
