Receptacle W/Circuit Breakers - Trailers.
Front 7-way receptacle installation per TMC-ATA RP-703 and similar to TTMA RP No. 6.
Receptacle per TMC-ATA RP-107, and TTMA RP No. 40 having min. 5 degrees water-drainage-slant and an elastomer
truck-tractor plug support bracket or an extended lower lip providing support for the plug. Provide weatherproof connection
box with nut and stud terminals. Circuit Breakers.
SAE J553 circuit breakers protecting all live circuits leading from 7-way front trailer receptacle.
No fuses.
Wiring.
All wiring per SAE J163, SAE J555, TTMA RP No. 14, and the
TMC-ATA RP Manual.
Wire identification codes per SAE J560 or, optionally, SAE J821.
Multiple circuits combined into harnesses.
Wiring supported at max. 36-in. spacing with anchored
elastomer ties or coated clamps to prevent whipping, chafing, and mechanical or fatigue damage.
Interior of mechanical splicing devices waterproofed with
RTV silicone sealant.
Wire per TMC-ATA RP-110 equipped with terminals per
TMC-ATA RP 112.
Disconnect points for multiple circuits (in excess of 4 ea.) of the waterproof plug type or of the nut and stud junction block type. Junction blocks coated with electrical varnish after assembly. Wire-to-wire terminals secured to vehicle.
For positive return ground, provide ground wires between the front receptacle and the dump body and also between the front receptacle and chassis or the front upper couple plus the rear suspension framing members.
On a metal plate or decal (see 3.2.2.1.4) provide a wiring diagram, as actually furnished on the semitrailer, per TTMA Technical Bulletin No. 65.
