(b) Forced discharge through the main shutoff valve to a 1.500 inch faucet with cam lock fitting at the front of the trailer. A dust cap or dust plug and security chain or cable shall be provided for the 1.500 inch faucet.
(c) Self-loading of the tank from a nonpressurized external source (with the main shutoff valve closed, in through the 3 inch gravity discharge faucet by use of either 1.500 inch hose and the reducer specified in 3.9.19, through the pump, out through the 1.500 inch forced discharge faucet and into the tank through the manhole fill cover opening by use of the other 1.500 inch hose specified in 3.9.19). Bottom loading capability shall not be furnished.
3.9.2 Plumbing system, type II. The plumbing system on type II shall provide for:
(a) Gravity discharge through the emergency valve and the 3-inch gravity discharge faucet
(see 3.8.2).
(b) Forced discharge through the emergency valve to a 1.500 inch faucet with cam lock fitting at the front of the trailer. A dust cap or dust plug and security chain or cable shall be provided for the 1.500 inch faucet.
(c) Self-loading of the tank from a nonpressurized external source (with the emergency valve closed, in through the 3-inch gravity discharge faucet by use of the 1.500 inch hose specified in 3.9.22, through the pump, out through the 1.500 inch forced discharge faucet and into the tank through the manhole fill cover opening by use of the 3-inch hose specified in 3.8.3). Bottom loading capability shall not be furnished.
3.9.3 Piping and couplings. All piping shall be not less than 3 inch inside diameter tubing with long sweep bends or 3 inch nominal diameter pipe with long sweep elbows. Piping shall be installed to withstand expansion and vibration without failure and shall conform to the strength requirements of DOT Specification DOT 406. All threads shall be of the American National Standard pipe thread series. Victaulic or equal couplings shall be used only on pipe (not on tubing).
3.9.4 Grooved end pipe clamp couplings or flanges. Clamp couplings or flanges, (Victaulic or equal) shall be provided on the inlet and outlet sides of the pump and strainer and on the faucets specified in 3.9.1 (type I) or 3.9.2 (type II).
3.9.5 Pipe grooves for couplings. Pipe grooves for couplings shall be in accordance with dimensions specified by the coupling manufacturer. The groove and outside diameters shall be concentric to each other. The groove and the ends of the pipe shall have a chamfer of 0.003 to
0.005 inch. The outside diameter of the pipe between the groove and the end of the pipe shall be smooth without evidence of scale, seams, weld splatter, digs or scratches. The fitting shall be
