4.5.3 Control test. The Government inspector shall select at random for road test by the contractor, 1 out of each 100 vehicles submitted, but not more than 2 vehicles in any given 30-day period, for a distance of 50 miles with highway payload. During this test all equipment shall be installed and vehicle subjected to tests to assure
conformance to the requirements specified in
3.5.1.1 (highway towing speeds), 3.5.3 (turning ability), 3.5.4 (braking ability).
