c. Fender option

fenders and fender supports furnished per

Undercoat fenders and aprons with sandless
commercial undercoating compound to min. of
1/16-in. thickness.
d. Splash guards
Per SAE J 682, MS51331, and TTMA RP No.
41, for trailers furnished without fenders.
e. Front platform
When specified (see 6.2, T-2), front platform
furnished per drawings.
f. Rear stabilizing
When specified (see 6.2, T-2), 2 ea. rear
jack stands
commercial jack stands furnished per drawings.
Function to support rear and level trailer, when
used with front support leg.
Provide firm base for operating equipment.
Stand heads mate with frame-rail-mounted stand
head boxes, underneath rear.
Stands stowed and secured on trailer for travel.
g. Brake system
Modified, military air-over-hydraulic brake
system per MIL-STD-1180 (FMVSS), as
specified herein, and as shown on the drawings.
Split system providing shoe-by-shoe
protection. Power clusters of either 2 ea.,
duplicate units or of a single-unit type having
any double reservoir and piston master cylinder
that is matched and approved by the foundation
brake manufacturer.
Min. 5 in. of slack provided in each of the relay
valve connections to permit interchange of
various makes and models.
All brake lines installed to facilitate replacement
from bulk supply.
All metal surfaces of foundation brakes coated
with paint or lubricated to resist corrosion.
High-temperature silicone compound grease
used on lubricated moving parts.
