MILITARY SPECIFICATION SHEET
CHASSIS, TRAILER, SIZE 4, CCE
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of
Defense.
The complete requirements for acquiring the size 4 trailer chassis described herein shall consist of this
document and the latest issue of specification MIL-C-52437.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. The trailer chassis is intended for towing by light and medium trucks and off-road equipment.
2. When the chassis overall width (special option) shall be limited to 80-inches, the chassis shall be
intended for towing by light trucks up to 11,000 lb. GVWR class (see FED-STD-292 and 307).
These trucks shall have capability for electric brakes and surge brakes; however, no compressed
air is available for straight or air-over-hydraulic brakes.
3. The trailer chassis characteristics shall be in accordance with table I and as shown in figure 1.
