The semitrailer chassis and demountable containers may be procured as a combined unit or as individual items to supplement an existing system. The semitrailer chassis are of the tandem axle type and have minimum gross weight ratings of 51,050 pounds for the model A, 20 foot chassis, 74,500 pounds for the model B, 40 foot chassis, and 75,800 pounds for the model C, 40 foot chassis. Items procured under this specification are commercial items which shall be warranted by the manufacturer as specified in procurement documents.
