MILITARY SPECIFICATION
TRAILERS, TANK: POTABLE WATER AND GENERAL PURPOSE,
500 GALLON, TWO AND FOUR-WHEEL, MODIFIED COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved for use by all departments and agencies of the
Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers 500 gallon capacity, two-wheel and four-wheel
(wagon type) tank trailers for hauling and dispensing liquids (see 6.1 and 6.3). Vehicles procured under this specification are commercial items which are warranted by the manufacturer as specified in procurement documents.
1.2 Classification. The trailer shall be one of the types, sizes and models shown in table I, as specified (see 6.2).
